Making The Case For Change...
Engaging The Community To End Poverty

Providing twelve and twenty-three  bed, long term community
correctional halfway houses for sentenced female offenders from
Niantic Prison and for their children between the ages of zero and five.  
The program emphasis is on reunification and re-bonding with their
children, parenting skills, and self-sufficiency.

Men’s Halfway House

A community justice residential program that offers an alternative to
incarceration for non-violent offenders.  Residents are given
counseling, substance abuse counseling and education, assistance
locating employment and general “assistance getting their lives
together.”  Two meals per day are provided.  Residents are monitored
for program compliance.  Ninety six percent (96%) do not return to the
criminal justice system and become positive contributing members to
society.

Single Room Occupancy Facility (SRO)

residents would more than likely otherwise be homeless without this
addition to the provision of a dwelling place, residents are also given
residence. All of these residents (100%) are extremely low income.  In
