CONNECTICUT ENERGY ASSISTANCE
Provides vendor payments for home heating costs in times of need for
households with incomes between 0% and 150% of the federal poverty
income guidelines. Provides direct payments to income-eligible rental
households that have primary home heating costs included in their
rent. This program serves Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Wilton, New
Canaan, Darien, and Greenwich.
STATE APPROPRIATED FUEL ASSISTANCE
Provides vendor payments for home heating (electricity, gas, oil, etc.)
costs for households that include a person or persons 60 years of age
and over, or physically/mentally disabled persons who reside in
households with incomes between 150% and 200% of the federal
poverty income guidelines.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, FOOD AND NUTRITION PROGRAMS
STATE APPROPRIATED GENERAL ASSISTANCE (SAGA)
Provides case management, counseling, referral, and medical
transportation assistance to recipients of SAGA.
CHURCH EMERGENCY SERVICE ACCOUNT (CHESA)
Provides emergency voluntary loans for persons who are in an
emergency need for housing, security deposits, rental assistance, etc.
